So... hey guys,it’s been a while hehe. I’m not dead, as you can see, nor I was sick or anything, but I’m sorry, so so so sorry that I desappeared in the middle of the year without saying a word. So I’m here to explain to you (if you still here after this long time) what happened in the last year that made me drop posting here.
Prepare yourself because this is going to be long.
I stopped posting around august 2016, and theres 2 main reasons for that, one explains why I stopped for the rest of 2016 and the other explains why I didn’t post this year.
The first one is kinda dumb, I guess? I mean, it is a terrible reason to stop posting and I know that! But the reason is that... I was catching up in a “new” fandom. Yeah, I know, if you’re into something new, thats more motivation to make fanart and stuff, right? Well, maybe thats true, but this thing is literally older than me, it‘s 20 year of content! Maybe you guessed what it is... 20 years recently, made me stop in august 2016... Yeah I am totally addicted to Pokemon and I started with Pokemon Go.
But wait, if you’re a pokemon fan too, and one of those that doesn’t like the ones that started liking it because of Pkm Go, hear me out. First, that is just dumb, and second I didn’t have any contact with pokemon during my childhood. I mean exactly 0. So what was my motivations to start playing? If it wasn’t for childhood memories, or bucause I was already a fan, then why start? I can explain this in one simple frase “It was tumblr’s fault.”.
Everyone on tumblr was so hyped with this new game, it was all over my dash, and it looked super fun! And the little creatures looked super cool! So I wanted to try it out, I just had to wait for it to be realesed in Brazil. Well... this took a little while and in the meantime, I found out that my cousin was waiting for it too, and we start to count the days togheter.
During the wait, I had my first experience with the main Pokemon games, I mean... not really, but close enough (?) hehe. One day I was in class and we were in the computer lab, and I was reaaally bored, so me and my friends were looking for some games to play (don’t do that kids, pay attention in the class) and I remembered that, when I was little, I used to play Mario games in the computer, we found a site with retro games and started playing (i can’t pass the water world help). In the side of this site’s page, there was some links to the most played ones, and there were some pokemon games in there. So why not have a peek while I waited for Pokemon Go?
My first pokemon game was Pokemon Emerald... X and Y version.
Yeah, it was a hacked game. But I didn’t know that.
The game was a rom hack of Pokemon Emerald, wich is a generation 3 game, with generation 6 pokemon, it was so full of bugs, that I played it 3 times bacause it kept crashing and freezing in some areas. I never finished it tought (a few weeks ago I went to that site again and I found out that every single pokemon game there is a weird rom hack/ fan game).
Pokemon Go came out, and it took me a few days to start playing cuz I had to figure out how to play it in a cell phone with an older Android version. I found out a way, my parentes were confused that I left the house, my whole school was playing, it was pure hype.
One day, when I was with my cousin (the one I mentioned above) I was looking for some real Pokemon main games to play (still in the computer hehe), because I found out that Emerald was a gen 3 game, and he was the one that told me that the pokemon in that hacked game were actually from gen 6. So I was like... yeah, something is not right in this. While I was looking he was telling me about the anime, and he told me how the X/Y part was amazing and that he kinda wanted to watch the very first episodes (the Kanto arc, not the first ones from X/Y). And I was like, “Yeah, I kinda want to watch some too, maybe just the first season or something like that.”.
Big mistake.
I know myself, and I know, that when I like something, I go until the end.
I watched the first episode in august 21 (I stopped posting stuff in the 19 I think), the X/Y series was about to end, the last episode came out in october 27, two days later, I finnished the whole series. And I mean the whole series, 939 episodes, with 22 minutes each, 20 years, in 2 months and 9 days. And in the middle of that I watched most of the movies too. (one month of this I was on vacation so I had nothing to do anyway hehe). I really don’t know how this was possible.
Meanwhile, I stopped playing pokemon go, but not because I was bored of it. I had to modify the apk of the game so I could play on my low android, but somehow they blocked this option and I couldn’t play anymore. Me and one of my friends that had to do the same process were devasted. So while everyone was dropping out of pkm go, we were only wanting to play. A few months later my parentes got themselfs new cellphones, so I played in theirs, but I they didn’t like it one bit haha and I only saw them on weekends, cuz I study in a diferente town that the one I was born.
So I focused on the main series games, I downloaded emulators and played Pokemon Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Fire Red, Platinum, Soul Silver, White and White 2. Most of them I played a second time as a randomizer nuzlocke (a gameplay with self imposed rules to make the game harder). I couldn’t find an emulator for Nintendo 3ds so I didn’t play X/Y and the new Sun and Moon. I also played some Mystery Dungeon games and few quality rom hacks and fan games.
I also got super into shiny hunting, and if you know how it works you know that it can take a really looooooong time.
A little before the middle of this year I got a new phone, so I could play Pkm Go for real, my friend got theirs a while later too, so we played together. Just saying, the school I went is amazing for Pkm Go, theres a huge amount of spawns, it’s a magikarp and a dratini nest, theres is a pokestop and a gym really close to each other and another gym a bit farther away.
The game was implementing the new Raid system (where a really strong pokemon appears in a gym, and you have to getter people to defeat it, if you succed, you can catch it), and weeks later the legendary pokemon were realesed in this system. When the first Articuno in appeared my home town (it’s small, it had only 2 gyms at the time), I went to the gym with hope to find someone there. I waited for 20 minutes and nobody appeared. When I was almost going home, some people came out of a car looking for players too. They asked if I knew someone to help in the Raid, but the only person I knew was my cousin, and he wans’t in the town. They started calling on their phones for people and suddenly there was 20 of us to Raid. It was really fun! They had a group where they planned Raids and talked about the game, they offered to put me in the group and I accepted. We're still strong!
But this isn’t the only group I met. One day, in the town where I study, a Tyranitar Raid appeared in my school’s gym. Me and my friend were crazy about it! We kinda knew of this one person that still played in the school, but he wasn’t there. So she managed to get his phone number, she messaged him and he said that the reinforcement was in the way. They had a group too and they were already planning to come.
I made a bunch of new friends with this game, I think this is what this it is for, and we still play a lot until now.
A few weeks ago I found an emulator for Nintendo 3ds, X/Y doesn’t work well in it, but I played Sun and right now I’m playing Ultra Moon. They are really great games.
Even if the last events happened this year, it wans’t the main reason why I didn’t post anything in 2017. I was actually planning to come back in February, I even have some sketches that I made back then, but then school started...
This year was my last one in high school, and I’m going to tell you, it was the worst year of my life.
School was just a nightmare, it looked like the teachers were trying to make us give up. I was under pressure 24/7, because here in Brazil, there’s a really big national test that you can make about the subjects that you learned during your 3 years of high school. It’s a really big deal, with your score in this exam you can basically get free college. The thing is that I was having a lot of trouble studing for this years subjects, so I didn’t manage to study for this exam. You can make this exam every year, if you don't manage to get a high score, but the pressure to pass in it in the first time is huge.
And my normal subjects isn’t just math, history, geography, portuguese and stuff like that. In my school you have this subjects and you pick technical course, I choose I.T. because I though it would help me in design, but there wasn’t a single day that I didn’t regret choosing this thing. Most of the teachers were horrible, and I could complain about them for years but I’ll spare you from that hehe.
And it wasn’t just school. As I mentioned, I stayed in this town during the week and went back to my home town during the weekends. And there I stayed in this woman’s house, she took in girls that went in the same school as me. And this year I had the worst roommate ever. She was horrible, she bothered me and the other girl that stayed in my room so much, and even when we talked to her, she just kept doing it. She was really loud when we wanted to sleep or study, her side of the room was a huge mess, she stole food from the fridge, really, nobody in that house liked her. She got better by the end of the year but the damage was done.
This school year was just really stressful, and I got desmotivated to post stuff. But it’s finally over, so I’m way better now.

Ah! And about the fandoms I’m in AKA what I’m going to post here. I still like basically the same things from before, SU, SVTFOE, ML, GF, etc. I think there’s only 3 changes. One is Pokemon and you already know that. The others are about 2 things I don’t watch anymore. One is Adventure Time, but being honest, even when I was still posting in 2016 I wans’t into it anymore (is someone? I can’t find traces of this fandom even on tumblr). The other is more “serious” and I’m kinda afraid to tell, because I know a lot of my followers are from this fandom and it was the reason I started this page... I kinda don’t watch mlp anymore... not because I don’t like it, it just that I not motivated to watch. I always watched the episodes in a site that had good quality vídeos and subtitles, but the page was shut down. They said that they were coming back soon, but it took so long that I kinda forgot about it. So yeah.... maybe you guys can convince me to go back to it, but in the meantime, that’s it!
